Following the feedback, the Visitee may be offered a follow up visit in order to help with further change and improvements.
Benefits
Meets the reflective practice requirement for annual CPD. (NZAGS is applying for it to apply to at least 2 years).
The Practice visit scheme is a Protected Quality Assurance activity. Other reflective practices are not.
It’s a collegial review of your practice and the findings of the review belong to the Visitee.
The visit identifies areas of strength, as well as areas where the Visitee may be at risk e.g. too many hours worked, insufficient resources (human and equipment).
Provides Visitee with a sense of how they are practising i.e. the wrap-up letter often contains congratulations on practising well and any best-practice the Visitors have found.
