The Aotearoa New Zealand Committee in General Surgery (AoNZCIGS) and its Training Sub Committee (AoNZTSC) operate under the NZAGS Executive Committee to govern and deliver the General Surgery Education and Training (GSET) Programme in Aotearoa New Zealand. AoNZCIGS provides overall governance, standards, and advice to RACS, while AoNZTSC manages the day-to-day oversight, training, assessment, and progression of General Surgery trainees.
