Prerequisites


  • Applicants must have successfully completed the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Generic Surgical Sciences Examination (GSSE) prior to the Specialty application closing date, in addition to having a minimum of 52 weeks General Surgery experience which must be completed by the time of application.

  • A completed Procedural Skills and Professional Capabilities Form which shows validation by a supervisor of several professional activities and operative procedures is also required. The procedures must be verified during rotations taken in the twelve (12) months prior to the closing date of applications. The form can be found here.
