Call for Nominations to the New Zealand Association of General Surgeons Executive
Are you passionate about advancing general surgery in New Zealand? Do you want to play a crucial role in shaping the future of our profession? The New Zealand Association of General Surgeons (NZAGS) is seeking nominations for our Executive Committee, with terms beginning 1 April 2025.
Early December a call will go out to members regarding any Executive Committee vacancies for the coming year, and nominations are now being sought for three positions beginning 30 March 2025.
Please consider stepping onto the Executive, even if it’s just for a short term. The Executive has 4 meetings per year – 1 face to face meeting at the ASM usually held in March/April, and 3 quarterly ZOOM meetings (the 4th Zoom meeting may become a face to face if needed). In addition, there is often correspondence and papers that get distributed for feedback.
The next annual general meeting will be at the Cordis Hotel, Auckland, 29 March 2025, at 12.00pm at the Annual Scientific Meeting.
