James Everett, Creative Director, Niantic Aotearoa NZ
James has been fortunate to spend over 20 years making games with brilliant people on a wide range of platforms in diverse genres. James has volunteered with game developer organisations like the IGDA and NZGDA throughout his career and continues to host the social gathering Wellingtaru. In 2020 he co-founded NZXR which developed mobile AR experiences, VR training, and even immersive theatre. In April 2022 Niantic acquired NZXR and the team now helps accelerate Niantic’s global augmented reality efforts. James supports the Niantic Aotearoa NZ team as Creative Director.
